Brother David and his wife Denise joined the Second Baptist family in 2011. Denise and David have been married for 19 years and have three children. They have home schooled for 10 years with their oldest now in high school. David has been in ministry for over 30 years and served in locations from Massachusetts to Utah. He believes strongly in the power of God to challenge and change lives. He and Denise have moved to Hopkinsville with the expectation that SBC and its community have their best days ahead!
Keith Roberts became the Minister of Worship & Music at Second Baptist Church in May 2005. A native of Mortons Gap, Kentucky, Keith received a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Murray State University (1986) and a Master of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1990). Keith loves leading a blended style of worship that both honors our Lord and edifies the body of believers. Keith is married to Sara Graham Roberts and they share a love of animals, especially Gracie, their miniature dachshund.
Chuck Poe has served Second Baptist Church since January 2008. He has been in student ministry for 21 years. He is married to Samantha and they have four children – Caleb, Elizabeth, Mary and Phoebe.
Lori Kirkman is married to Brad, and they have two children – Emma and Cooper. Lori graduated from Murray State University with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She taught 4th Academy before becoming a mother. After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, Lori felt the calling to work in the children’s ministry at SBC, her home church. God opened doors and presented the opportunity for Lori to become the first children’s ministry director at SBC in 2008. The Kirkman family also lives in a Challenge House, where they serve as Neighborhood Ambassadors. Challenge House is a local, faith-based ministry to underserved, inner city neighborhoods.
Priscilla became a member of the SBC staff on June 1, 1998. She teaches a ladies Sunday school class at Second Baptist and is also Church WMU Director. Priscilla has been married to Jim Colston for 51 years. They have two daughters and three grandsons.
Dana became part of the SBC team in September 2006. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, she married and they have two delightful young boys.
